Includes original ink drawings for Haldane Macfall's "The Splendid Wayfaring;" several bookplates and broadsides designed by Fraser; proofs of illustrations for Macfall's "The Book of Lovat Claud Fraser;" a typescript article about Fraser by Earl E. Fisk, material from Macfall and Fisk for a book of caricatures by Fraser; three scrapbooks assembled by Macfall of letters and drawings by Fraser, notes by Macfall, clippings, photographs, and letters to Macfall from members of Fraser's family; two volumes of proofs of drawings by Fraser entitled "Caricatures," accompanied by paste-up dummies prepared by Macfall and notes written by Macfall and Fisk; and a scrapbook assembled by John Drinkwater of letters from Fraser to Drinkwater, drawings by Fraser, notes by Drinkwater, and letters to Drinkwater from members of Fraser's family.

Both parents had military ties, and he was educated at military school, and served in India and West Africa, retiring as a lieutenant. Drinkwater, a British playwright and poet, worked for an insurance company. In 1909 he became manager of the Birmingham Repertory Company, and his most successful plays included "Abraham Lincoln," "Mary Stuart," and "Bird in Hand."
